DOWN GO THE PATRIOTS!!!!!!

Postby hoopsstar2391 » Sun Feb 03, 2008 10:12 pm

In my mind one of the best superbowls i have ever witnessed. What a game, and what heart the Giants showed. They went in as the biggest underdogs, and didn't back down. Congrats to the Giants!!!!

Brady did play against a good giants secondary, but he had absolutely no time to throw, mostly pressure coming from the ends. Plus their running game was non-existane, only gaining 47 yards

I could not believe I was seeing that happen. Because he felt the game was over, he decides it is not worth being out there for the final 2 seconds and watching the Giants take a knee. Since when does the Almighty Bill decide when the final buzzer goes off. Talk about a lack of class, for his team and for the game of football and the Super Bowl.

I personally say the MVP should have been the Giants defensive front four. They were incredible. I expected a lot more from the Patriots offensive lineman. 3 pro bowlers.
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.

His interview after the game showed his true colors. It should be interesting to see what happens in the latest spygate thing involving the super bowl with the rams.

That's how you beat the Patriots, pressure Brady. No one did it all year until last night.

What an unbelievable month the Giants lines have had. Football is really a simple game. As Vince Lombardi once said.."It's not the schemes and tricks but rather who blocks and tackles better. Those two things determine who is victorious"...Congratulations, Giants! GO PACK GO! :D

Personally, I was not all that suprised with the game.

After all, The Giants only lost by 3 in Week 17 with both teams going 100%

so how can a miracle catch turn a teams season from the best all time to a failure? Tyree doesnt make the greatest catch in SB history and the Pats are the best team ever. since he did it was a failed season? how does that work...

lynn swann's 50-yard falling-down, juggling catch against dallas (i think?) is the greatest catch in super bowl history. that baby was unreal.

true...i should say greatest play instead of catch. like Mike Golic said...this was great for 2 players (mannings escape, and tyrees catch) and it was both amazing and may have been the reason they won. they other plays were jsut one of the 2

I agree - I don't want to discredit Eli - very deserving - but the Def. front four were the main instigators in this upset. Its been 2 days and I still can't believe it. I was dissappointed with Belicheck's responses after the game - but if you just lost a shot at history and the biggest game in the world - you probably wouldn't be too chipper either I guess.

Week 17: The entire right side of the offensive line, Nick Kaczur and Stephen Neal, as well as tight end Kyle Brady, a blocking specialist, were all inactive.

Anyone think that hurt the Patriots that these guys didn't get to see what they were going up against in the Giants game? I know they didn't have a clue that they would have been playing them in the Super Bowl, but if they would have played in that game maybe they would have been better prepared to take on that rush?? Just a thought

i think the most questionable line this week was on sportscenter when talking about the front page of hte Boston Herald, Stuart Scott called it symbolism. the picture was Brady sitting on his knees after getting knocked down...anyone else see him say that?

this just goes to show that every sport has there denoted people to praise and people to blame. Basketball has the point gaurd, baseball has the pitcher (how come this is the only sport where an indivual gets a win or a loss..never understood that. 4 runs on a bunch of errors with 0 earned runs and he gets the loss, yet a bunch of backhand stops and diving catches are made and the picther gets the win.) ,and football has the quarterback. theres only so much a quarterback can do if hes not given time to throw the ball.

Who usually gets the most love when teams win in the NFL? The quarterback right? Who are usually the highest paid guys on the team? Usually the quarterback (depending on how good he is). Who got most of the love when Dallas was winning?? Romo. Who got a good dose of the blame when they lost??? Romo. Same with Favre, Same goes for Brady. If a guy gets plenty of praise when they are winning, then I don't see why he doesn't get a big chunk of the blame either when they lose. Its just the way sports are today.
