Blyleven ranks 5th all-time in strikeouts with 3,701. His career record is 287-250 while posting a 3.31 ERA. He threw 1 less shutout in his career and threw 20 more complete games then Nolan Ryan. Blyleven was also part of 2 World Series championship teams, and is said to have had one of the best curveballs in baseball history. Can someone PLEASE tell me why this guy hasn't been inducted into the Hall of Fame yet?

Hasn't got vote in. I'm with ya though, he deserves to be in there.

Well I know he hasn't gotten voted in yet, but I mean why is that. Whats the reason?

I don't have a clue. One of those things in sports most people will never figure out I guess.

Some people say its because he doesn't take himself too serious. He's kind of allways been known as a gooffy guy, since the perception is that he doesn't take himself seriously, then voters might respond the same way. It's too bad that this might be whats holding him back, because as the numbers indicate, plus alot of intangibles, he should be in there.
