Seems like this is always a topic every year but why can’t there be two days of championship games? 9 man and Class A on Friday, AA, AAA on Saturday or vice versa. With Covid being a problem now it would be the perfect year to have Two days of championships.

The reason I have heard is that the network would not allow the local station to "preempt" national college games on Saturday so all the games have to be played on Friday.

Anyone know why the two lower divisions always get the early morning slots and the big divisions get the "prime time" slots every year? Would it be that hard to rotate it so that every four years a division got the early slot or the last game of the day?

No it wouldn't be hard at all.

I thought a couple of years ago they said the bottom three classes would rotate, but AAA would always be last because the game was always hosted in a AAA city. Since then they have only rotated A and 9-man.

I always look at it as $$ and ratings. We know as Class B fans that the B schools will show up to watch no matter the time of their game...Class A attendance is always pathetic (Look at State A Basketball where B & G are at the same time and Class B still outperforms them in attendance) and therefore the ratings go up because those fans will just stay home and watch the game on TV.

I think that the $$$ drives these decisions and the TV station that is paying the big bucks is the one who has the say in the order of the games and the fact that they're all played on one day. I could be wrong, but this is what I've heard in the past.

Do you think the TV station wants to air games at 8 AM?

I wouldn't mind seeing MidcoSN get the rights to broadcast state tournaments. With their two stations they could do football over the course of two days, all Super A games, and all A & B VB games. I think most people have Midco unless they have Directv or Dish
