My local newspaper says these QBs split time at the position. True or not? Maybe I’m just assuming splitting time means it was like a rotational QB thing. Here’s the stats...would you consider these kids to have “split time” at QB or is it a slight error by the writer.

QB1
Games started: 11/11
Games played at QB: 11/11
Total QB Snaps: 535/606
Passing: 90/151-1152 yards-7TDs
Rushing: 22 carries-(-27 yards)-0 TDs

QB2
Games started: 0/11
Games played at QB: 6/11
Total QB snaps: 64/606
Passing: 0/3-0yards
Rushing: 27carries-137 yards-1 TD

QB2 played 38 of his 64 snaps in 2nd half of the week 5 game, carrying it 12 times, and throwing zero passes. He started the 2nd half. During that game, the Team inserted QB1 back in on obvious passing downs in the second half.

QB2 was the “Wildcat” QB; QB1 is the primary QB.

I can see where ‘splitting’ time comes into play because it could have been stated by the coach in the interview but it’s not truly ‘splitting’ time; but if the article was about just that week...then yes, they split time at QB
