The Program

How would you describe how some high school football programs become dominating (Harvey, Bismarck, Linton etc...)? Is it the coach, the school, the community?

In thinking about this I recall Harvey being very good back when Coach Cahill was there about 20 years ago. They seem to have made a seemless transition to Coach Sandy.

Bismarck had a few down years at the end of Feeney's career but down to them was still above .500 and coach Gibson hasn't experienced a down year.

Linton has bounced between 9 man and A and still has success, but with this example Coach Imdieke has been there since dirt was invented.

#1 COACH WHO HAS ABILITY, IS RESPECTED BY THE PLAYERS, PARENTS AND COMMUNITY

#2 PARENTS / COMMUNITY / HIGH EXPECTATIONS

#3 ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT AND UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF A SUCCESSFULL FOOTBALL PROGRAM.

#4 THE TOP THREE THINGS FILTER DOWN TO KIDS BUYING IN TO THE PROGRAM AND HITTING THE WIEGHT ROOM AND TRAINING HARD IN THE OFF SEASON.
