I saw one poll that had Roseau one of the top teams in the state.  Doesn't Red River play South soon?

Red River plays South on Saturday @ South. Red River lost to South 2-1 @ Red River the second game of the year. Should be a great game.

I was at the first game and it indeed was a great game. I expect no less from Saturday's matchup!

It looks like South beat Crookston 4-1 last night.  Is Crookston any good this year?

Grafton Park River beat West Fargo last night in Fargo 4-0. Big win for Grafton. They could be SPOILERS in the Regional and State tournament for some teams.

When does the EDC start?  Can anyone prevent a rematch of South/RR?

February 16th-18th at REA. I can't wait!

South and Red River are surely the favorites though magical things seem to occur at tournament time, not to mention those who as NDfan stated, play Spoilers!

In my opinion Grafton is overrated, but you never know what will happen come state time. I would put my money on South this year to win it because i think Souths speed will explode in the Ralph. Red Rivers physical play isnt going to be able to keep up with it. Also watch for Williston to come out strong too.

P.S. I still haven't heard the Grafton - Whap score yet, anybody know?

is it me or is the East Region really down this year in Hockey,  South and Red River are the top teams but after Grafton can anybody else play the game?  Central is big time down and so is North...

In my opinion I think the talent is more concentrated into a couple teams instead of spread out. I think Fargo South, Red River, and Grafton are really up and everyone else is down compared to maybe one or two that are pretty good and the rest even.

Yeah Central played it tight to start. Red River tied it up and then never looked back. I can't wait for EDC!

South ended up winning 6 - 2. Grafton got their two goals in the last minute of the game. The second one the Grafton player clearly kicked it in but the ref didn't see it and thats how things go. If South was able to finish they would've had a four goal advantage for the tiebraker but now its only two. It will be interesting what RR will be able to do up in Grafton for their last game.

North 3 - 0 over West Fargo. Big win for North in trying to capture that 5th spot in the EDC. Justin Welk was the big story, making some good saves. But West Fargo controlled much of the game except for the first period where North got all three of their goals.

Which west team?

I think you are forgetting how every year the west stroles along through the regular season making it look easy and then when it comes to tournament time, has nothing to show for itself. South or Red River takes this one, certainly not a west team and I will most definitely own up to being wrong should that time come but I'm not worried.

Are you an idiot!! The 4th best east team will beat the #1 seed out of the west... West teams wake up early because after the first round you will be playing in the sunshine bracket, almost every year the State tournament is the EDC tournament all over again a week later!!   Red River and South in the final.... South to take it all
