2:21 left in the 2nd period. Bryce Schmitt draws a penalty, so Minot will go on the power play.

2nd period is in the books. Game is still tied at 1. Bismarck really put the pressure on that period. Shots were 20-3 in favor of Bismarck. Medler made a huge toe save on a Winkels shot with 2.9 seconds to play in the period.

3rd period just underway.

14:55 to go in the 3rd. Bismarck still putting the pressure on and going on the power play. Not what Minot needs right now.

Minot takes another penalty, which gives BHS a two-man advantage for 1:43. BHS takes a timeout to get things set up. 14:39 left in regulation.

Minot kills off the penalties. Still tied at 1.

9:57 left in regulation. Still tied at 1.

9:34 to play and Bismarck goes back on the power play.

7:08 to play. Still tie at 1.

Bismarck takes the lead on a Tyler Peterson shot from the left point. It looked like it was tipped up front. 6:54 left in regulation.

Krueger gets the tip in to give BHS a 2-1 lead. Sounds like they are giving the assist to Romanick though. . . should have been Tyler Peterson.

5:39 left in regulation. BHS takes a penalty, so Minot will go on the power play!

Bismarck makes it 3-1. Patrick Anderson scores short handed.

Minot gets a power play with 4:14 left to play as both teams took penalties at the goal. BHS took 2 and Minot took 1.

Still 2:36 to play. Minot can't do anything with a 5-on-3. 23 seconds of power play time left.

The Bismarck High Demons are the West Region Champions! They defeat Minot 3-1. This game could have easily been a rout were it not for Medler in net for Minot. Final shots were 47-17 in favor of Bismarck High. Congratulations to Coach Peluso and his Demon team!

That was a great champ game! Keys for west teams at state,
BHS get a new goalie, play all 3 periods not just the 2nd and 3rd.
Minot, Give Meddler support he is a dang good goalie.
Willy get a new goalie, dont rely on just your first line.
CHS get a new goalie, play stronger D, finsh oppertunities.

What do you mean by that? I see South walking through that bracket if they play like they did in their last two games of EDC. They just better not underestimate Century like the first seed in the east usually does to the fourth WDA seed.
