Any thoughts on who will have a big season in the net for their team?

Evanson-Williston

Lindberg-Jamestown

Nobody else sticks out that much that i can recall...but than again almost every team has a new starting goalie this year

Monsebroten-Grafton/Park River-started for the state champs. One could attribute his success to the team in front of him, but he still put up good numbers.
Buchholz-Fargo South, looked good in action as a sophomore, returns as the starter one would guess.
Lang/Fuller-G.F. Central, both started their share last year, either one could be the starter, or maybe a 1-2 punch for the Knights?
Aikens/Labernik-Fargo North, could provide quality goaltending for North, both started last season, both return.

Maybe not all top goalies, but ones that come back as having a fair amount of varsity experience as returners. If I missed any, feel free to add to my list.

I've actually heard that lindberg is playing for Bismarck. Not sure if its true or not but it's what I've been hearing. No matter where he plays though he should be one of the top goalies in the state.

Just want to say Lindberg is not going to Bismarck for sure...I am positive on that...though his mom does live there, he will not be playing there next year

monsebroten is probably one of the top candidates. it would take a lot of convincing to get me to believe that one of centrals two young goalies is going to be a stud this year. i don't see it

Chase Freidig, not freidick. He has had some experience behind Groves in Devils Lake the past 2 seasons and hopefully is ready to shoulder the load as a senior this season. If it is true he has been active this summer, he should be ready for the hockey season, and can hopefully keep Devils Lake in the mix!

Fredig better be good next year because devils lake is really going to be hurting...but in my opinion i just don't think Fredig is good enough to make this team a contender.

I think Buckholz will be pretty good for Fargo South. He did incredible taking over for South last year. (Even got All-State).

Monsebroten always seemed shaky to me, but he has an incredibly offensive team in front of him, so he doesn't face many shots.

Freidig is a good goalie, he's no Eddy Belfour, but he'll fill the shoes of Groves next year. His team will have to step it up for them to be in contention in the east, though.

For the west heres what its looking like.
BHS- No underclassmen touched the crease
CHS-Soph. jared hruby played 5 periods, 3 aginst minot gave up 4, gave up 9 to St. cloud cathedral in 2 periods played
Bott-Darwin Getzlaff Sr. i feel he is looking good, but he needs offense!!!
Dicky-Joel otto, Sr. played 8 periods behind kovacs, i have herd nothing but good stuff about this kid i think he may lead dicky.
HB-Preston Landenberger jr. whether he is good or bad he has nothing in front of him has 16 periods under his belt
JTN- Austin lindberg- Sr. 70 periods played looks like he will be the best in the west!!!
Mdn-lost 2 seniors, rember watching their jv games goalies very weak point there.
Minot-darren medler soph played 6 periods thats about all i got there.
Willy-mccade evenson-jr. 72 periods looks pretty good to me but his d may not be there this year?
Thats what i got on west goalies, open for debate!

Lindberg may be the best in the west this year, but didn't J-town loose a lot of players from last year?.... without a team he's going to have to be very strong in net for J-town to compete in the state tourney.
