What exactly is a scoring chance.  I am still baffled by BC 4 scoring chances in period 3 with 0 shots on goal.

 that was before they posted the third period

apparently a shot margin can be misleading if Minot had 8 shots on goal and 1 quality scoring chance. If you watch hockey you can usually tell when a team has a quality opportunity to score.
