What is the best hockey game you have ever watched in ND?

Mine would be RR-FN in that 5 overtime title game thriller. 73 saves by walski. That place erupted when RR scored. Everyone was tired of sitting there and didnt get over till like 1230 if i remember right.

Last years game between Minot High and Bismark High.  0-0 the hole game, until Tyler Lundy got unto a break away.  After he scored the bismark fans through around 15 rabbits unto the ice.  There were even rabbits that were tossed into the minot fan section.  It was also a very phisical game.

Nate Ziegelmann was originially the 3rd string walk on at UND when he transfered out to Duluth he sat out a season due to the transfer period. He backed up last year and came on very strong at the end of the season in the WCHA playoffs. He is still at Duluth playing behind freshman Alex Stalock.

Apple Valley beat Duluth East in '96. karl Goering (Und Goalie), v.s. Dave Spehar(University of Minnesota). I don't remember how many overtimes that went, but the game was incredible. I would say it was thee equivalent of the Texas State Football championships, watching that game live was incredible. The next year Speahar won the state championship with a penalty shot. I also Remember the RR and North State championship game, we had to stay another night in GF because the roads were closed, or close to. Whatever happens this season, it would be nice to attend another state tournament like those I have mentioned.

1991 ND High School State Hockey Championship when Scott LeClerc scored for the GPR Spoilers with 14 seconds left in the game, off Tony Gasparini, to put them up 2-1 and hold on to win it all.   Hard fought game back and forth by both teams, with some awesome defensive plays on some good offensive players.   Good goal-tending by both Gasparini of the Redskins(Knights, I still call them the Redskins) and Jason Myrvik of the Spoilers.

I like the 89' championship game between RR and Minot.  It would be nice to see that kind of competition from the west again, (early 90's) but it just doesn't appear to be so.  One that may not be well known but was still cool was a first round game in 87' with Bottineau against North.  North had a 7 to 1 lead only to give up 6 unanswered goals.  The game went into OT with North winning.  Maybe not the best games ever, but a couple of my favorites in ND high school hockey.
