I watched Grafton v.s. South, and graftons sophmores looked pretty tough holding their own. I havent seen red rivers.

Gaustad, Mohagen, R. Hills, all played tough against the South Seniors, seemed to be around the puck whenever they were on the ice.

HELLO!!! TANNER SPICER.  I have one more for you too, a freshman Danny Ray.  He will have the entire EDC looking at the ceiling this year.

Cole Frenzel from Dickinson, he had 5 goals against Jamestown in their opener. He is a great baseball player also.

Demers for GPR is the real thing. He netted 4 against Bismarck this afternoon. So far he has at least seven goals.

The best sophmore i think is RR's Russel Crary. He is having an outstanding year and to have an outstanding year for RR is pretty hard since they are so balanced. Best ive seen so far and ive seen 6 or 7 games so far.

I would have to say that Brett Fiddler is making a name for himself this year.  I am not saying that he is the best soph in the state but he is up there. He is a good center and he can set people up well. Another good Minot high player is Bryce Schmitt and he is only a freshman.

A lot of you might not have noticed the Sophmore Grant Narveson for North. He was starting varsity as a freshman in 05-06 season and can play both forward and defense solid.  Although he gets a few stupid penalties he should mature. He is about 6-3 180lbs and decently fast.  Not quite sure on his stats....

Crary had 30 points and Demers had 36 close call but i think Demers might be the man

ryan mohagen, chad demers, and alex gausted are probably the best sophomore line in the state.  Combined they have a total of 93 points.  They all have been playing together including during the season and on their off season team.  The scary thing is that their only going to get better

It seems that in the East most of the sophomores had been playing JV and only 4th line Varsity. With Grafton they have been playing an entire sophomore line playing Varsity full-time.  Should be interesting to see how the Sophomores this year out of South, RR, and other top-squad teams fit in with the varsity playing time as Juniors. I'm looking mostly at South and RR of course, as most of them have a pretty solid JV team going on. (Consisting of mainly Sophomores)

Crary is the only one I've seen start, and the other two that have points are Keith Howe and Jordan Bancroft. Haven't seen the last two ever start, so dunno about "a lot of RR sophomores have been starting all year".

well hands down demers is the best. crary plays with studs. demers plays with fresh studs. so it has been done on his own in a way. most sophs that do well play on big lines he is playn with rookies i know they are both great mohagen is awesome gaustad sees the ice great but in all fact they are all sophs. whatever he has done is great along with mohagen and gaustad. good luck stoping these guys next season. haha
