The west plays physical because they don't get as much kids to try out for hockey as the east does. During the Red River-Williston game, RR had many chances to score but Williston's goalie stood on his head. Williston was playing a physical game and by the third period RR was starting to get frustrated so they started playing physical and started making stupid penalties. Same thing during the Century-South game.

allthough i am from the west.... the east plays physical and they use their skill. I dont have anything against the west at all but the east just has the numbers to pick from so in turn they can choose both physical and skilled players.

not all of the east teams have numbers to pick from. Grafton, for example, has one of the smallest enrollments in the entire state (for hockey schools) and they put together one of the best teams this last year, and next year theyll be even better. it just so happens that all the east teams play better competition year in and year out at every level so the players get better, whereas the west teams play eachother every year and dont play against better competition.
